Video Monitors
We have the Summer Infant BabyTouch and absolutely love it. We've been using it for about 2.5 years with no issues at all. We currently have 2 cameras hooked up to it and will add a 3rd when this baby is born in May. The monitor can pan and zoom and has an intercom feature. Love it!

Re: Video Monitors
After trying and returning several monitors we found the Lorex Baby Care n Share. It has more features than any of the others I tried and especially love it because it has the night mode so that you can turn off lights/sounds and it will automatically come in when any camera detects elevated sound.
Besides that it has pan/tilt/zoom and also has an auto tracker that you can set to follow movement (older DC running around room etc). Also has temp, can expand to 4 cameras, 2 way talk, feeding alarm, takes pics & videos and can hook up to tv or wifi. Only downside to me is theres no belt clip but most don't include one. Im just very picky and if I made montiors I would include everything like belt clips and silicone cases to protect it from drops (instead I buy the extended warranty )
I did try one of the motorolas and hated it - the volume was too loud on the lowest setting and kept me up at night since it doesn't have a sleep feature. Also the model I had you had to adjust the volume by going through the menu - that was annoying - especially for the grandparents when they babysit b/c the are somewhat technically challenged

Re: Video Monitors
FYI - There is a Motorola monitor (probably more than one actually) on sale this week at Target. We picked one up - we have LOVED the Summer one we had from DS#1 even though we had a couple of issues initially but the customer service was great and it's still going strong and we have a Lorex we bought through Zulily and HATE!!! The sound is awful and it won't hold a charge. I should have called them but didn't - anyway, we got a Motorola one from Target for $179 and got a $40 gift card and there was a $20 coupon in the ad this week. Haven't tried it yet though. It has no pan feature but does have a zoom and 2 way audio. Just wanted to throw it out there since a number of people have said Motorola was great.

This is awesome to hear - we just registered for a Motorola one with the LCD screen (the smaller size not the 3.5).

Re: Video Monitors
We recently purchased this Motorola one in December for DC #2, but set it up to test with our almost 3-year old DD. We love it. We can play music for her, talk to her through the monitor and watch her to see if she's awake or fallen asleep.

I would recommend you go into a baby store and see the various models. We didn't know which one we wanted either, so we went to BRU and checked all the models out and chose the MBP43/2. The screen size and buttons are different on each of them. Some can be accessed via the web, whereas other models can't (ours can't).
