Video game question
I am completely clueless when it comes to video games. My nephew asked for a particular sports themed video game for his birthday. There is a regular version and a deluxe version for $20 more. I definitely don't mind spending the extra money, but would like to know if it's worth it. Anyone know what makes the deluxe version of a video game so "deluxe"?

What is the name of the game? There are a lot of gaming review sites that will tell you why you should or should not get a game with an expansion pack. In general, it comes with additional characters, skins, or other features. But it would depend upon the game. Also, you need to know if he has a PS4 or Xbox or is a PC gamer as all will require different versions. Hth

Its NHL 17 for PS4 - it doesn't come out until next week, but I was going to pre-order. Not sure if there will be reviews yet, but I'll check. Thanks

But what does all of that mean???  Is it worth the extra $20 bucks? It's not a big deal to me to pay for the deluxe version, so I guess that's what I'll get.

According to a cursory search on line, it gives you additional players and stick skills, clothing, and when you play on line you will get the ability to change additional players within teams. I think the main aspect is the additional on line content. In a lot of gamer forums the bonus is being heavily debated if it is worth it because they are not specifying who the players are or exactly what the additional skills are. So it seems that it is a toss up whether or not to purchase the additional content.

yes. my son always wants the deluxe versions, and while it doesnt seem all that different to me, he loves the extra features.
