VFW Hall rental in hicksville
Anyone know how much it would cost to rent the VFW Hall in hicksville for 75 people. It for my son's first birthday, so I will provide the food and decorations. Also do they provide the tables and chairs? Please do let me know, thank you!
I'm so glad to have found this website, we just moved into the nieghborhood 2 years ago and I haven't been around much to know what is around, I'm so grateful for these forums, thank you all for helping those families in need such as mine

Re: VFW Hall rental in hicksville
Welcome.
I live in Hicksville too. I don't know about the VFW but we just rented the North Bellmore Fire Department for my son's 1st birthday, which is right down the road on 106. We were pleased with the facility. They just painted it, and the setup was very nice. We got lots of positive feedback.
It was $550 and included cleanup and unlimited use of the soda guns.
You'll fit 75 easily if you don't need a dance floor. If you do, you still could fit that size crowd, although it might be tight.

Re: VFW Hall rental in hicksville
I had to call them regarding a rental earlier this year. here in the info I received. It was for a Sweet 16 so the prices MAY be different:
Hicksville VFW Howie 516-931-7843 320 South Broadway, Hicksville holds 130 people $700 dep, $1200 room, $200 for security
Again this was for a Sweet 16 so I believe the prices were higher and security was needed. Give him a call-he was a real nice guy.

Thank you CouponKt, Jenn, and Eckored. I will definitely call the guy and ask for the rates. Hopefully it won't be that expensive. Ecko and Jenn were tables and chairs included?

Yes, for the NBFD it included tables, chairs, and setup/breakdown of both.

Re: VFW Hall rental in hicksville
Hmmm, I just recounted the list again and it's maximum 65 including ourselves, but I added another 10 JUST IN CASE. You don't know who will end up showing in the last minute. I do want a dance floor, but not a big dance floor, enough for 4 people dancing at the same time. Also is there room for a DJ? I hope so!! I wanted to get a bouncer and comedian, but I guess I should choose between the two. Im guessing with the space available a comedian would be best right?
You know at first I felt in despair for coming to LI, but slowly as I'm moving my way around I'm actually grateful and enjoying it more now.

There is definitely room for a DJ at NBFD, especially if your list is really 65.

We also rented this hall for my DS's birthday. It was cheaper than the Hicksville VFW and it was recently renovated. It was great. We paid the same amount for a Sunday afternoon for 4 hours. We had a DJ as well.
