ok not a far drive for me one night but when my friend was a backseat driver and i was takeing my way and he was having a huge fit because i was going my way and not his.. i just turned around to him and side keep up acting like that and i will pull over and make him walk the rest of they way.... mind you i would have never done that ... but the way i said it his words turned from a nasty f*** to man this is gonna be a great night... long story short the next time tell him ok you know so much i will pull over right now you can meet us and finish your way... i think he might think differant

I have one who is the same way and it drives me crazy. Over the years I've just learned to block him out.
