VENT: HEARTBURN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NEVER did i have this!! Ever!
Pregnancy bought it on hard core and I have lived on TUMS and pepcid tablets..nothing helps!

Tell me about it last night I got it bad I woke up outta my sleep becuase little peanut was kicking the crap out of me and all of sudden my throart was on fire I keep TUMS right next to my bed on the night stand pop 2 of those and still did'nt help

I had it a couple of days ago and I'm only 11w4d :(
I heard celery helps relieve heartburn. Aw hope it goes away for you soon.

I have to say that that is one of my worst symptoms as well...I hate that burning in my throat...and TUMS do NOT help me either. I tried drinking lactose-free milk after I eat which helps a little but not much.

honestly, water does it too! Anything was causing it so i couldnt restrict myself in thinking I would feel better!

I never had heartburn until I got pregnant with my daughter. I had it bad and lived on tums too. If it is any relief to you... it went away the second that I had her. I have not had it since either.

I hear ya - I never ever had it either until pregnancy. I used to ask what it felt like and everyone said "you will know" - they were right. Although fortunately it hit in the 3rd trimester and like you said - hopefully will go away after the baby is here.

It will go away the day your give birth!!
I have heard some people find relief with milk - not for me though. I found that if Tums don't work, I eat some applesauce along with it. and it does help.

This is so true! I lived on Zantac, and as soon as I gave birth the heartburn was gone. And my little girl has lots of hair!!

TUMS are just not helping me anymore....it has gotten so much worse in the last couple of weeks (i'm 27 weeks).
My doctor said to try maalox liquid because it coats better than tablets.....I need a flask for the stuff! I have to bring it with me everywhere. It works a bit better than TUMS but it is still hard to sleep at night:(

I had HORRIBLE heartburn! I could barely eat anything and I lived on tums. Right after my DS was born I had a ham and cheese sandwich and iced tea and no heartburn!! It instantly was gone!!!!!!! And has not come back 2 1/2 weeks later.
