Vent- health insurance gripe!

I called my health ins coordinator (in my school dist.) to add DD on 3/13- I wouldve called sooner but I was dealing with 2 allergic reactions/rashes soon after her birth.

She mailed me the form and told me that I needed to send it back with copies of DD's SS card and birth certificate.

The forn came in the mail 3/20, SS card came 3/28.
Still no Birth certificate


Today is DD's 1 month b-day and since I have 30 days to add her to insurance before I get billed, I called the lady back to ask what to do since still no certificate

She reponds with " Well you shouldve just sent in the form- I can add here right away- and then mail me the copies whenever they come in"


AREYOU SERIOUS??? Why didnt you say that with the 1st phone call!!! You dont mess around with my baby's health insurance!!!

Sorry just had to get that off my chest!

It did- but only after I had to run around the house and get dressed, pack up DD in car seat, take her out in the rain and drive 15 min to the board of ed office and drop off the form to have her added today.

She was not a happy camper since it was her lunchtime- I swear DD gave me dirty looks the whole time ( when she wasnt screaming bloody murder!)
