Vent about MIL and VBA2C...WWYD?

Im trying to stay positive for my VBA2C But my mother in law is making it hard for me and making me CRAZY!!! Im due in 6 weeks and she must call me 5 times a day if not more asking me a million questions. Such as...what if you go into labor when your not near your hospital...will you bring your operative reports to the hospital your closest to so they can read about your previous c-sections. Or what if you go into labor and you cant get to your hospital in time and your uterus ruptures. These are more of the normal things that she asks. Some things are just out there and she will ask me the same questions everytime she calls. On the days where she calls more then others, by the end of the day im a nervous wreck thinking theres no way ill have a vba2c. Sorry for the vent...just had to get it out. Like i said im trying to stay positive but shes getting me so scared. Todays one of those days Thanks for reading.

OMG i JUST posted something so similar. You have to just try to ignore her and listen to your doctor. This is YOUR choice to make and your doctor knows a lot more than your MIL does. I know easier said than done but you have to be firm with her and when she comes up with ridiculous situations just turn them on her and say "What if everything works out? What if I am making the right choice? What if I get the delivery that I always wanted?"

Thanks so much for your reply. I just read your post and feel like we almost have the same MIL. In the beginning of this pregnancy my blood pressure was on the high side so instead of not making me crazy she would call every hour to see if i took my BP...UGH.

I can't believe she is asking you these questions, is she trying to get you scared? Honestly I would ask her that, and tell her that her comments are not supportive, nor is she a doctor. Maybe she thinks she is helping because she is giving you questions to ask yourself or your doctor so you don't have surprises, but in reality she is just making you a nervous wreck which is no good for you or the baby!

You made this decision with the help of your doctor, so be confident with your choice and don't allow this stupid woman to worry you!

All I can give you is and tell you that MIL's as well as Mom's in some cases are enough to make you crazy. Try to let it go in one ear and out the other so u r not too stressed.
