Vent about a friends dr....
So this friend of mine lives in Jersey.
She had on DS who is about 4 years old; she had gestational diabetes. She has been trying to have another for a few years now. Had 2 miscarriages. Apparently she is hypoglycemic and during another dr visit she was told she has cycts on her ovaries.
Her doctor refused to test her for anything because he said the hypoglycemia has nothing to do with anything at all (and I assume he just blatantly ignored the cysts on her ovaries). The dr told her she has unexplained infertility (based on the fact that she has one kid already) and then dr said it's a fake illness that "party kids" get from binge drinking or drugging. 
She just FINALLY went to a new dr who tested her for a bunch of things... turns out she has a progesterone problem. She's still waiting on the rest of the results but this doctor is also going to do a monitored cycle in January with her.
How are doctors like that first one still around??? What is to come of his poor unfortunate patients????
He is the reason why I have SO MANY issues with doctors in the first place!!!!
 
And isn't it UNETHICAL to assume someone is a drug addict binge drinker???? She's not at all, but she's not the prettiest girl either and is always treated poorly (I've actually seen her get fired from a job as a hostess because she wasn't nice looking).

That is just horrible. Fortunately she had the good sense to get away from the Dr. Some people just shouldn't be working with others.

to be honest.. it took her a few years (about 2) to go see another dr. I think once I started getting tested and telling her she should really start thinking about it and look into it... it made her think and she finally went for it.
hopefully things start looking up for her.
I just couldn't believe what the first doctor told her.. it's baffling!! and not only that but HOW are you going to diagnose someone with unexplained infertility and then say it's a made up issue???
