Valtrex during pregnancy
I broke out in 3 cold sores. During my first pregnancy, my dr prescribed valtrex. I was a couple weeks along. Now, it's happening again, but I'm in my 2WW. I called the dr to see if it was okay to take and a nurse said to just take abreva. I don't know why I got 2 different answers. Have any of you taken valtrex being pregnant, especially early pregnancy? Thanks so much! I'm hoping this might be a sign of pregnancy since it happened the first time around.

My dr has me taking it everyday for cold sores because she said my immune system is down and I would be more prone to them. I have had a pretty bad cold for 2 weeks and I'm thrilled to not have a cold sore to go along w/ it.
