Vacation with kids
My family including 7 neices and nephews from ages 3-11 vacations together every summer. Normally we visit Long Beach Island, NJ and enjoy the beaches, pool and amusement park. This year I will be 8 months pregnant for the trip and my doc wants me nearby. So I was hoping someone could recommend a nearby place, possibly on the island that is good for traveling with so many kids. How's Montauk? The Hamptons? Any other ideas?

we went to hershey park for 4 days last year when I was about 33 weeks.
I couldnt think of anything closer to do for more than a day.
how long is your vaca? maybe you can do something different every day, locally?
parks, beach, splish splash.

We usually go about 3 nights, but maybe shorter this time. We have about 16 people in all going.

Id say it really depends on what everyone wants to do. and the ages vary, so what the big ones want to do might not allow little ones, etc.
maybe a place that has a few things nearby that even if you split up, youre still close by. and being preggo, you may want to rest in the middle of the day..

That's exactly what we're looking for, but do you know of any places on long island or nearby nj that have a variety of things to do? I am wondering if Montauk has more than just beaches...in case it rains. Does anyone know how far Montauk is from Riverhead?

Montauk is a good 1 1/2 hour from Riverhead. They do have a main street in Montauk and great beaches. You could also check out Sag Harbor, EH, SH, BH instead of going to Riverhead. Montauk sounds like a good idea
