Re: Vacation?
You can probably do disney at one of the value hotels for that or just a bit more. This of course does not include spending money. We looked into this already for one year. We are just skeptical about the large amount of spending money we were advised to bring for that length of time. We are thinking of going to Hershey.
Check Disney's website- I have been told the best deals are normally through them.

Re: Vacation?
When checking Disney -- look into their Magic Your Way package with dining. It's pretty cost effective and covers park tickets, hotels and most of your meals. There are a bunch of Disney threads on the Travel board with hotel & restaurant reviews.
We were in Hershey a couple of years ago and that was really fun!! They have a great wark park section and an "old school" style section with rides like the whip! The Hershey Resorts (there are a couple with different price points) are supposed to be really nice! One of them has a spa where you can get a chocolate facial, etc. My frined went their last year and really enjoyed that! It's also pretty close to Amish country & Reading, PA where there are a lot of outlet shops and such.

Re: Vacation?
we went to the Bahamas recently and it was great! Try looking at rates at the RIU, we didn't stay there but my ILs did and they got an all inclusive and liked it

Re: Vacation?
I would say Disney (Hershey is close enough that you can always drive for a weekend). I just found flights to Disney for less then $200 roundtrip. June is regular season at Disney, so it shouldn't be that bad.

Re: Vacation?
I think with a $2000 budget, you will have more options than just local. You could probably manage to do an all-inclusive for 5 days with that budget in Jamaica, DR, Riviera Maya or Puerto Vallarta.
