UTI's and nursing?
Never had a UTI, but I THINK i have one. Is it really this painful!? Anyway I'm SAHM and it is so difficult to do anything other than lay down - is there anything i could take while nursing to ease the pain?? Went to my Dr., who wasn't in the office - just took a urine sample and said it would take a few days...

UTI's and nursing?
I've never heard of it taking a few days, that's crazy! I went to a walk in place last time I had one and got two prescriptions. One of which helped right away but I'm not sure if they're safe while nursing. I would definitely try somewhere else if they can't help you sooner. I went to stathealth.

Re: UTI's and nursing?
You can definitely go to a walk in place and get a prescription immediately! Most antibitoitcs are safe while nursing. I had one right when I got home from the hospital, DD was about 2 weeks old and just another 2 weeks ago and she is 7 months. Not sure what I took the first time, but this time I took Macrobid. Just mention that you are BFing and they will give you something safe! In the meantime, drink tons and tons of water. The more watered down your urine is, the less it will hurt!
