UTI
Hi girls,
I have a UTI. I think my doctor said it can be common in pregnancy, but I can't remember! Anyone else have one? I am almost 10 weeks, and hope that this will be the only one.... this might be a silly question, but does anyone know if you might be more prone to getting them again if you have one?
On a good note, I got to hear the heartbeat today!!!!!!!!!! What a nice surprise  .

I have had two during my pregnancy and I have only had one other my entire life so I guess they are more common. Feel better and congrats on hearing the HB!

UTIs are definitely more common in pregnancy, as are yeast infections and bacterial vaginosis. i haven't had any UTIs but i've had yeast 3 times.  it's all because the environment changes down there, allowing different bacteria and yeast to overgrow that wouldn't have otherwise. your doc will prescribe antibiotics to treat it.
