2015: America’s overall image around the world remains largely positive. Across the nations surveyed (excluding the U.S.), a median of 69% hold a favorable opinion of the U.S., while just 24% express an unfavorable view.

2017: In the closing years of the Obama presidency, a median of 64% had a positive view of the U.S. Today, just 49% are favorably inclined toward America. Again, some of the steepest declines in U.S. image are found among long-standing allies.

Trump and many of his key policies are broadly unpopular around the globe, and ratings for the U.S. have declined steeply in many nations. According to a new Pew Research Center survey spanning 37 nations, a median of just 22% has confidence in Trump to do the right thing when it comes to international affairs. This stands in contrast to the final years of Barack Obama’s presidency, when a median of 64% expressed confidence in Trump’s predecessor to direct America’s role in the world.

Sadly, I am not surprised. The United States is such an embarrassment right now. We are being led by a loudmouth imbecile who has zero class or tact. He has NO understanding of how to interact or deal with people, let alone important world leaders. This is just 6 months in, can you imagine what things will be like by 2020??!!

I've been abroad visiting since 1999 and living since 2003.

In 1999 (England) they were protesting against something Clinton did. Bosnia or something? Then in November 2000 (England) they made fun of us because of the Gore/Bush election. Then for 8 years after that, I believe, approval ratings were down because of Bush and I heard lots of criticism (In Australia and Germany)

Then Obama got elected. For the first time living abroad (Australia and Germany) I didn't feel embarrassed of my government. Sure they criticized when Obama did spying on Merkl, but overall it was positive.

Now that embarrassment is back and it sucks.
