UPK question..
If the main certified UPK teacher (UPK through school district, if that makes a difference) is out sick, can the children be left with just the two teachers aids for the day? (18 children in the class..no certified teacher). Thanks in advance!

UPK question..
If it is a half-day program then I believe it's allowed.

Re: UPK question..
I'm pretty sure it is not aloud. A certified/licensed teacher needs to be replaced with a certified/licensed teacher. Are you sure the sub doesn't hold a teaching license. She may not have a position as a teacher but she could have a current license.

Re: UPK question..
That I will have to look into, I also feel that the ratio of teacher to children would not really be safe, 2 teachers, 18 4 year olds (if all kids were in that day). When I dropped my child off yesterday I didn't see the main teacher, but sometimes she is preping something for the day. When I picked up I still didn't see her and asked and they said she was out sick. Idk, I've had a bunch of issues that aren't sitting well with me with the school this year yet I loved the school last year when I sent my DD to the 3 year old class two days a week last year...
