Updated with CORRECT day! Road Trip SATURDAY? Where to go?
DS has therapy until 9:00 a.m. and DH doesn't get home until 7 pm. Was thinking of taking a road trip somewhere. We have been to Jamesport/Greenport but was looking for something with more activities. Maybe Westchester? Maybe closer? I would like to be home when DH gets home (besides that it is DS' bedtime anyway). I don't think it is worth it to do Great Adventure since we would be leaving too late.
ETS: DS is 2 1/2

I'd go out east and hit some farm stands, or U Pick places (I think they may be starting blueberries) Maybe spend the day @ the beach? It is supposed to be HOT tomorrow - so I don't think I'd do an amusement park unless it was a water park -

I live right near Rye Playland, and it's definitely fun for that age-- but some days it doesn't open til noon, which I find annoying when you have a child who naps. Def check the schedule.
They have to be 36" to go on some rides alone-- otherwise you can go with them. But there is a whole kiddie section.
There is not a lot of shade there, so if it's hot you will cook.

Anyone go to Fire Island from Patchogue? Are you allowed to bring a wagon on (otherwise how would I carry everything)?

We go to Davis Park often (my in laws family have a house). You can bring a wagon on (they charge $3, I believe) but on certain ferries they restrict freight, so you might have to check.
