UPDATED: Going for my NT ultrasound today
and I'm sad because my mom was taking off work early to come with me, she hasn't been to an u/s yet and this will be her 1st grandchild, so I really wanted her to come,
and as of yesterday she was really sick...103 fever, body aches, coughing, nauseas...her Dr. told her STAY AWAY FROM YOUR PREGNANT DAUGHTER!!!!!!!!! which obviously makes sense, but I'm so upset...
it was like fighting tooth and nail to get DH to stay at work and have my mom come to this appt in the 1st place...now I'm hoping she has another chance to see an u/s 
I hate how things happen like that 
I am excited about the dr today to see baby again!!!!! But I love my mama so now it's kinda bittersweet
UPDATE: Mom just came from chest xray and found out she has Pneumonia!!!!!! 
Seeing as I had pneumonia in the first few weeks of pregnancy, I'm DEFINITELY staying away, I cannot risk getting it again, she doesn't even want me in my parents house!! I feel so bad though becasue I know how horrible it was when I had it...hope for a speedy recovery please!! Thanks ladies!

Maybe she will be able to come to the 20w anatomy scan (level2). That one is much more in depth than the NT scan! Hope your mom feels better soon!

I hope that she can come...DH is very "possessive" over these appointments...as RIDICULOUS as that is considering I'm my mother's ONLY child and having her FIRST grandchild, you'd think he'd be happy to let her come...it's an argument every time I ask...

OMG.. My DH, too. I feel guilty b/c I'm now about 36 weeks and my mom has never been to an ultrasound with me. :(. But she's also in a wheelchair still from her broken leg back in Dec, so I feel like it would be such a production if she came. Still though... guilt. Plus, my appts turned more into stress than fun once I had the preterm labor issues, so I didn't think it was appropriate to bring guests.

I have my NT ultrasound next Wednesday and DH totally didn't get why I wanted my Mom there too. This is her 1st grandchild and we are super close so I am psyched to have her share in this with us. He gave me a hard time but when I said that it was really important to me he thankfully dropped it.
I hope all goes well & your Mom can make it to the next one!

Thanks ladies...yeah seeing as we're team  I'm hoping that DH allows my mom to come with us (when we were going to find out, he only wanted US to know first, which I understood) but now there's no excuse!!! LOL
OH and I updated the original post on my mom's status...

o man.. I hope your mom gets better..  and as much as it hurt, it was very sweet and kind of your mom to stay back to keep you and other preggos safe.. and she'll get to see her grandbaby at the 20 weeks.. and that's a great appt.. they actually look like a real baby.. moving around, squirming.. its amazing!!!

I love the idea of taping it!!! That's actually my latest obsession. I watch sonos on you tube  Hope your mom is better soon!!! Good luck at the appt!!
