**UPDATED AT BOTTOM***I solved my "I still haven't gotten my stimulus payment" problem

How the EFFFFFFFFF did this happen? It's just me and dh. No kids and we certainly aren't anyones dependents. I'm soooo pisssssed that I can't call the IRS now.

UPDATE:

I solved the problem!!!!

Dh's exemption was never claimed on our 05, 06 and 07 taxes (aka its like someone is claiming him) It was an error on our accountants part.

So finally I spoke to someone at the IRS and we have to ammend our 05, 06 and 07 taxes.


Bad news is that we won't receieve the tax rebate this year. We will get it next year when everyone who got it this year won't be.

Good news-- we have alot of $ that was taxed and we never received a refund for.. so we will get a refund of about $2500 after all this is said and done.

In the long run---its a good thing we never got our check because we would have never known what was going on.

I'lltake the stimulus check next year. That's for damn sure.

Did you check the main taxpayer's ss#? Could you be DH's dependant?

It says the same thing for the both of us. Nobody claimed us. I haven't been claimed in 5-6 years. It just isn't making sense

it is possible that it is a mistake! call them tomorrow. at least that way you'll know what happened.

everytime I call it says high call volume nobody can take my call to call back tomorrow. its been like that for 2 weeks.

I would call and ask who is claiming one of you. Someone could be scamming one of you.

don't use the number on that part of the website, find a general info # & work your way through the dozens of people you'll get connected to before you reach the right dept.

My DS still hasn't gotten his either and he hasn't been able to get through on that number.
