update on me (if anyone cares LOL)
So this isn't big news or anything but since I came on here and shared in the first place, figured I would give an update.
It WASN'T AF! Just some spotting, so I was happy about that!
It WASN'T MONO! I had two more blood tests done, and the mono was a false positive. I also had a abdominal sonogram done. Everything looks good - so they have no idea why I feel the way I do. And now, everyone just thinks I am crazy and that every new mother is tired. .. so I give up and hope it gets better eventuall!
I decided to go back to work the first wek of November and to take days off here and there when I need them or just to get in some extra cuddle time with DD!

I am glad it's not mono... did you have your thyroid checked? And  to anyone's comments that "every new mother is tired." I know you know the difference between tired and total exhaustion requiring a trip to the doctor

I was just thinking the same thing about the thyroid. That happened to my mom after having my brother. She even thought she was preg again but it was her thyroid...

I went through this before DS was born, so obviously it wasnt being anew mom. They said I had mono and I had already had it, but it was actually epstein barr, I was misdiagnosed. You should ask about that!

Glad everything is ok. Hope you start to feel the way you have been diagnosed. Don't forget our hormones are still out of wack so you have every right not to feel "normal"

HAVE THEY TESTED YOU FOR EPSTEIN BARR VIRUS?
its in the MONO family and most adults carry the virus, but it lays dormant.
I went through a period of time where i was DEAD tired all day long. no matter how long i slept. I was in my 20's. They ran some blood work and found EBV. when it flares up, you experience bouts of extreme tiredness/fatigue and there's not much you can do about it.

If I decide to go back, I will mention EBV and my thyroid.
I am avoiding going back because two doctors and a PA suggested I stop BFing and I am not ready to do that.

EWW! I would tell them to shove it and to check your thyroid (it is NOT healthy to ignore a thyroid problem should there be one) and to check for EBV.
If you really feel that uncomfortable, find a new Dr.
Just curious... did you go to your regular dr or your OB?

Try to cont. to rest as much as you can. If you still feel that way press them to do more tests....you're your own best advocate when it comes to Dr's.

I remember your original post and the same thing happened to me....I spotted around 2 months pp while ebf'ing and thought it was af, but it wasn't. She showed up for real at 7 months pp. I hope you feel better

I went to my regular doctor. I was basically told that I would not have energy until I stopped BFing. . . that it sometimes is just too "draining" for some women to keep up.
I think it is BS, before I even told her what my symptoms were - she told me that BFing isnt for everyone and not to feel guilty if I had to stop
The other doctor in the practice and the PA agreed with her when she brought it up again the second time I went (and everyone came into the room bc they were so shocked that I came out positive for mono).
That doctor left, which stinks b/c I usually LOVE her!

I'm glad you're OK.
It's incredible what giving birth really takes out of you. My body was physically exhausted for a good while after having DS. Hope you pep up soon!
