Update on me
Hi,
This update is very long overdue. I want to share that I got pregnant last summer (2016) after almost 4 years of trying. I now have a 6 month old DD.
I joined the IF board around 2013 (almost a year after we started trying). I did 6-7 IUIs, one fresh IVF and 2 FETs. Due to the recommendations of several posters on this board, I went for a second opinion at SIRM and they discovered a possible immune issue. My RE was able to work with SIRM and I incorporated immune treatment into my FET protocol and I got pregnant! While I'll never know exactly what got me pregnant (the immune treatment or the quality of the embryos), here I am with a 6 month old DD.
I didn't post an update while pregnant because I was scared- I had a bit of infertility PTSD. Then after my DD was born, I dealt with some post partum anxiety and baby blues. But I wanted to post to tell everyone thank you! This board was so very helpful to me between answering technical questions I had, giving advice or just offering compassion when needed. I hope I can help others the same way. I wish everyone who is on the TTC/IF journey lots of luck!
