UPDATE: Need some advice/opinions
Hello there,
so I have been tryinng to conceive baby number 2 and have run into some problems. Had a few miscarriages before I had my DD, but now we can't get PG at all. After going through all the tests with my RE, and one round of IUI, he said I could:
A. do another round of IUI with an different drugs to make me produce more eggs but there is still a sperm problem.
B. do IVF.
He said that on our own, there is no possible way we'd get PG. The first IUI didn't work, and he said even with that and the more intense drugs, the chances are still LOW!
I don't want to tell you what I'm leaning towards because I really would like to hear some of your opinions on what you would do. I'm just so torn. Please send me any advice you may have!
UPDATE: So we decided to do another round of IUI first with the injectibles. I'm a little apprehensive because the first one didn't work so I feel like why would it work a second time. Is there really a big difference when using the injectibles this time?

Re: Need some advice/opinions
I would do IVF based on the information that you gave however I do not buy that you could never get pregnant on your own. You have in the past and unless a ton of stuff changed I think you probably could again. We have MF infertility and were told that there was a very small chance that we would conceive again on our own or with IUI. We conceived our daughter thru IVF and now I am pregnant with our third, who was conceived naturally.

Re: Need some advice/opinions
thanks for your input! The Dr. just said that given the low numbers, it would be impossible. I would like to believe and trust my Dr. DH thinks all the Dr's just say that :( he also thinks that changing to boxers from boxer briefs will make his numbers increase drastically. is that really that true? lol?

Re: Need some advice/opinions
If the issue is male infertility, I would go right to IVF. I wouldn't want to waste time on something that probably wouldn't work. Good luck!!!

Re: Need some advice/opinions
I would skip IUIs if the issue is male and go to IVF.
IUI will not up your chances when Male factor is an issue.

Re: Need some advice/opinions
I would go right with IVF, given that male factor IF is an issue. Good luck.

I slightly disagree. Although it doesn't increase by much... your chances are still sllightly better with IUI when dealing with MF.
To the original poster its hard to give opnions without knowing the full story My advice is to honestly go with your instincts.
