Update from new beginnings!
I just got off the phone with New Beginnings and they said we should have our picture (referral) 8-12 weeks after our fingerprints are taken. WOW!
Susan where are you in the paperwork process?

She is adorable! Did you get my email at home this morning? We are more than 1/2way through w/ our paperwork. We are going to the Chinese New Year Party, are you?
I am trying to get the Bio completed. We still have to do the homestudy....

Sorry bout that. No we are not going the Chinese new year celebration. Wow things are really moving along with you too. Wow this is going to be a great spring. Please keep me posted.

I emailed you at home and another FM. I think I might be having trouble at work w/ emails b/c I haven't not gotten any email responses in 2 days from emails..hmmmm...

 CONGRATULATIONS! That's soooooooooooooooo exciting!  I was told SWS has been making referrals at lightning speed lately! Joe and I have to figure out how we're going to come up with the $$ so fast!  Haven't gotten far in the paperwork process yet bc I'm still waiting for my packet to arrive. I did get new birth and marriage certificates though (I lost mine) so that's a start! Definitely keep us posted. I'm SO excited for you!
ETA: I love seeing pictures of TT. She's so adorable!!

I forgot to say that the time frame is great!!! A friend of mine (who you might be meeting--)was told China was a few months behind--which has upset her, but let's keep our finger's crossed!!!! When are the fingerprints?

Karen it goes really fast, and they always give you a little longer then it actually is, because they don't want to be harassed.

Very True -- NB was actually upfront to me about this. They said they always tack on extra months just incase something out of the ordinary happens. Now we are more concerned about being reading in time!

My friends adopted from China during the SARS stuff...holy cow...gov't offices were shutting down, adoptions crawled..but it was still under 15 months so I am sure that it just the "worst case" scenerio that they give.

I am actually pretty anal about tracking the referral dates and unfortunately it has slowly down almost 50%. They have a chinese adoption offical site and right now they are only looking at May submissions. We are October. The trend is that they do one month a month. This means that is the best scenario we'll be getting a referral in July/August. But we have decided that is fate since we can not get a baby younger than 6 months old and in reality our daughter would be born in December or January which every single member of my family and DH's family is born . Everything happens for a reason : ).
