Update for those following the former job saga
I have gone on many interviews and I am enjoying a little vacation sponosred by my friends at the Dept of Labor.
I have gone on interviews with companies this week as well as met with 10 or so staffing agencies. Of course, only two staffing agencies were helpful, the others decided to critique my resume and yell at me, rofl, I said yell. Of course ex-boss man begged me back but there was no raise on the offering table...pfffft.
The interviews have been with various industries in Midtown and I am not getting my hopes up for anything. I am enjoying my sponsored time off, too!!
I have not been this happy in a long time!!! Thank you everyone for your  's and  's, you all rock!

What did he say???
He said something to the effect of, " I know you want to come back and we want you to come back, how about tommorrow? " I asked if a hefty raise was included and he said "maybe" . I said, "No thanks, cupcake". Yes, I really said cupcake because I don't care, I know he will give me good recomendations or he will see me in Kings County Court!

Glad you told him to shove it. Even with a hefty raise, it sounds like too much of a volatile situation to work in.
As for your sponsored time off, I have to say that I'm thrilled that tax dollars are going for your job search. The fact that you are busting your tush & not sitting on your laurels as most people I know do is to be !
