UPDATE- back from dr
wish me luck!!! I'm hoping that the injections are actually doing something this month. The first 2 injections were 50 each and then blood was drawn and the result was 42 (estridiol). My dr. bumped me up to 150 for the next 3 days, which tonight is the 3rd. So tomorrow it's back to the lab for more bloodwork then off to the dr for a sono. Taking DH w/ me and hoping to see some growing follicles!!
See bottom of page for update.

Yep, believe it or not we're going for it. DH isn't exactly on board- he's more like being pulled from the train. We (ahem ) found out that he could use a condom to collect his sample (had to do this for his SA- which didn't turn out great-everything looked good except his morphology was only 3% ) and I managed to convince him that he wasn't breaking any "rules" and that to try naturally w/ injectibles was dangerous to me (according to my dr for fear of over stimulation of my ovaries) so -- so far he's on board, though not thrilled. Dr said we could BD and he could use the condom and we could bring that in for the IUI so that's our plan.

Re: Going for my sono tomorrow am...
I'm finally home!!! Today was a long day for DH and I. We left home before 6:30 to go to the lab for my bloodwork and then to my drs. He saw more than 20 "6x6's" on each of my ovaries, but none of them dominant in size I was really down when I heard him say that- I was hoping to see something from the injections already. From there we went back to the pharmacy to pick up another gonal-f pen b/c my doc only ordered one last week and then we caught up on all of our errands. The nurse called me around 4 to tell me that my estridiol had gone up to 106 and that I should continue on 150 units tonight and tomorrow night and then back to the lab for my bloodwork then to the dr for another sonogram on Wed am. I have a feeling it's going to be a long couple of weeks.... ETA: I forgot to tell you that I spoke to my drs senior partner in his office (that's who I saw today). I asked him to discuss DHs SA w/ us and am feeling SO MUCH BETTER. He said 20million sperm is a good # they like to see as far as the count go--- my husband had 332 million!!! So he said that the quantity of his sperm will definitely help make up for the low morphology part. Also his motility was 53, which he said was a little above average- so it looks like he's ok except for the morphology.

Re: UPDATE- back from dr
That's great news that your estrogen level went up...it's only been a few days, don't get discouraged yet! I usually don't see anything working on the sono until at least 8 or so days of injections. My doctor says that the estrogen level is the important thing to watch so it looks like you are on your way!

Re: UPDATE- back from dr
Don't worry about the slow reaction to the Gonal-F - I generally stimmed for ten days before seeing any significant changes. Great news on your DH's SA.

Thanks Gerty! I'm so excited/relieved. I just keep thinking this is going to be another cycle like clomid--- where I get all excited then nothing happens-- and I don't have another month - after this NO IF is covered b/c insurance ends on 12/31 at midnight.

Totally agree. They started me very slow on Gonal-F when doing an IUI cycle. They definitely don't want too many eggs when doing an IUI cycle.
