Update about my fireplace...
I wanted to say a very big THANK YOU to all the people who helped me a little while back. Your advice and guidance really made a difference! We started lighting a fire in the fireplace a few days ago to make sure we got the hang of it so that this weekend when we had friends over we could make it nice and cozy. Everything worked out great!!!! And the house is still standing!!! Not a single firefighter was disturbed! Whoo Hooo!!!!
