*UPDATE: 4/4* What do you think this means (car problem)??
UPDATE 4/4:
The guy at Jeep called me and said it's the ignition switch that's causing it. He said it's damaged & dirty...
________________________________
We were driving the other day in my jeep and all of a sudden all the lights on the dashboard came on. The seatbelt beeped, the air went off then on again and slowly the lights went off one by one.
It happened 3 more times that day and it happened again to me yesterday while driving.
I called to bring my car into Jeep and they said I have to bring it in ASAP and not to drive it unless bringing it to them. This was in big bold letters in their email to me.
Any idea what it could be? HOPEFULLY it's covered under warranty!!!

Ok that doesn't seem so bad... is it?
I don't know why they had to scare me in their email. I'm scared to even drive it over to the dealer later.

The electrical system (which the alternator is part of) controls all your vehicles functions so should it malfunction seriously, cutting power to all systems, while driving it could be bad. I had this happen to me once and I had no power steering and really had a hard time getting over to the side of the road. Luckily I was not on a busy road and did not get into an accident.
Oh man... ok I guess it's worse than it sounds. Any idea if this will be covered under warranty? It's a lease.
And what could cause this? It's only 2 years old with about $30k miles on it.

If the vehicle is only 2 years old, chances are it will still be under warranty. I think most warranties cover everything except for items subject to wear and tear..oil filter, wiper blades, etc.

Them telling you not drive unless to them, is just incase your driving and just stops and you get injured or they dont want you to cause more damage to the car.
Good Luck hope its covered!

The ignition switch by itself probably cannot not do that. Is it causing the rest of the circuit to short?

Big problem with so many modern vehicles is that they rely heavily on computer and electrical systems. If it starts to go nutty, it can affect almost anything.
