Update: 2 of those SUCKERS are outta there!
Ok I am SO SCARED of dentists even though I went for my check up about 4 months ago.
My tooth in the back hurts so bad right now I cant eat even on the other side. Can this just be a tooth ache of some sort? 
Seriously, how bad is it to get your wisdom teeth out?
I want to cry I am so scared.

I got my teeth out - all 4 were impacted and I did them all at the same time.
I have to tell you - it was SUCH a relief - I didn't realize until after they were out how much pain they were really causing. I am SO glad I did it.
The first day is a little rough - but they give you meds so you are pretty out of it anyway.
Trust me - its worth it if its really bad and causing you pain!
ETA: I was also sooo scared - I was knocked out and still wouldn't open my mouth - the dr. said I was very stubborn. If you find a good dr. - there is nothing to worry about - plus I am sure your DH will spoil you!

This is where the love for my dentist comes in...he said I can leave my wisdom teeth in as long as I can close my mouth 
But I am pretty sure if it's impacted or infected it will need to come out. It could also be a neighboring tooth or maybe your gums. If you are in a lot of pain, you should go have it checked out.

if it hurts - i would say take it out.
when i was younger i had trouble with my teeth and hada ton of them taken out (19) 4 were taken out of the gums because there wasn't room
becuase of that - my wisdom teeth are in and cause me no pain - so i get to keep them....and all of that extra wisdom

ETA. with the exception of one that was impacted...it really wan't that bad at all! I wouldn't worry

I had all 4 pulled at once. I never had any pain or discomfort, but my dentist said they had to come out. If they started to decay, I'd be in serious trouble.
I did have some pain and swelling on one side, but the meds really helped.

I had all my wisdom teeth pulled over a 10 year span. With each of them I waited until they hurt, and some even longer than that. If they hurt, go get them pulled because they won't get any better.

I had 2 impacted but they pulled all 4 at once. It does hurt but they drug you up pretty good. I don't handle the gas well and I remember that being the hardest part for me

I want to cry I am so scared.
I feel the same way as you do and I just had this happen to me, it hurt when I ate and drank - turned out I had an erupted wisdom tooth - it had a huge cavity and it to come out. I actually went to an oral surgeon and got sedated since I can't stand dentists, drills, and pain.

eta - I still have my other 3 ones, he said no need for them to come out unless they need to in the future

I went to the dentist on Monday and the X rays showed the major infection in the lower one so they took that one out and the one above it. The lower one was impacted and the top one wasnt. The other lower one will have to come out too at some point.  At work I am talking through my teeth though.

It wasnt too bad - my dentist wouldnt take out all 4 at the same time - he said there was a risk of nerve damage - so I got one side out one week and the other side out the other week. It really wasnt that bad - I got some nice drugs - tylenol with codeine - which made me sleep all day. The first week I took the next day off of work but the week after I felt ok to go in the day after. I think the key is keeping the ice on your face 15 min on and 15 min off. I was really scared of swelling bc I got mine out 2 months before my wedding, but it was all fine. You will feel SO MUCH better afterward. My dentist gave me the option of getting anethesia or just getting novacaine.
