UPDATE----Party favors ?
Where is the best place to get party favors?
Also if anyone has any suggestions - it's for a 4 and 6 year old birthday - mostly girls

The beach chairs were a HUGE hit!!!!!!
I highly recommend them as a great summer party favor
They were so easy and simple and not too expensive and I was getting so many compliments
Going to five below was a great success

I would either do something edible
Or something like chalk/sidewalk paint/bubbles.
I wouldn't make a bag with all that stuff you can get from party city

My dd went to a party each kid got a beanie boo. Best favor ever. She loveeeed it and i wasnt stuck with a bag full of junk!

In the past I've done:
-crayons and a coloring book
-play doh sets
-melissa and doug water wows
-books
-edible things (like bag of homemade cookies, or chocolate lollipops, things like that)
eta: I buy these usually at target, amazon, etc.

Is there a particular theme?
I say THANK YOU for not doing the bag of junk, Ive been to 4 parties and left with a bag of junk. I was so annoyed battling my 4 year old to get rid of the junk.
Personally I stay away from edible because I dont give my dd junk food. She doesnt eat candy and she gets that so thats not the battle. Chocolate is the battle. And if I can avoid doing that to another mom I avoid it.
The other suggestions are great and some past ones Ive done and/or received that I loved:
-Crayons/Coloring book
-Beach pail with bubbles, sidewalk chalk, sunglasses, gold fish snack (those I dont mind as much), pinwheel
-Beach Towel
-Book with book mark
-Arts & Crafts in a bucket
-Paint a mini bank
-Cooler backpack with a personalized tag
-Pencil case personalized with mini coloring book and crayons

I usually do little gift cards...last year I did $5 to McDonald's, this year, I did $5 to Ralph's italian ices.

it depends. my daughter had a sleepover the other night and i had 2 of her babysitters come over and do mani/pedis, so the goody bag was a makeup bag with polish, nail dryer, nail kit and files.
last year she had a pool party so we did pails, shovels, bubbles and towels
one year we did tie dye shirts for the boys and tie dye totes for the girls

Last year, (peppa themed party) everyone got one of those softcover square peppa books (around $4 each). I had a variety so kids could pick. Avoided the bag o'junk and spent maybe just a few bucks more altogether.

i think thats a great favor. i had a joint bday party for daughter and son this year who are also 4 & 6 and gave out shrinky dinks...they were a bit hit.

Same!
You could order things off easy, cute necklaces for the girls depending on the theme. Or they have awesome bath bombs or soaps.
