until when is bronchitis contagious???
MIL has bronchitis and has been on antibiotics since Monday - is she still considered contagious?
She was going to watch 17 month DD tomorrow - WWYD?

Bronchitis can be contagious as long as symptoms are there. Even with antibiotics.

Are you kidding me? A coworker had bronchitis for a solid week before she saw a Dr. She was at work and refused to take off!!! Now I know why shortly after me and nearly the entire office git sick! She kept saying it wasn't contagious!!!
I know sil had it and still has bad congestion. Do you think its safe to take DS to her house? And I'm preggo...

Bronchitis can be contagious as long as symptoms are there. Even with antibiotics.
I get broncitis atleast once every winter since I was a child due to my asthma. The dr always said once the meds were in me for 24 hrs I could be around others.

Well from PP and what I've read it's contagious if symptoms are still there even if you are on antibiotics....
I am preggo too - and DD just got over being sick. We chose to be safe and not have MIL come....
If you can NOT go to SIL I would opt out..... not worth it in my book.
