unexpected bedrest - opinions needed below

so i went to the doc today for my 32 week sono. baby 's abdomen is measuring very small. her head and limbs are ok but the abdomen is below the 10th percentile and the doc wants me out of work and off my feet for the next two weeks at least. they put me on the nst monitor after and she said the baby has great measurements, she is fine and happy and even practicing her breathing, but they want to make sure she starts growing properly. apparently she is not getting enough blood flow, bc when youre up and about working your blood goes to other places and not enough is going to her.
i just feel guilty and worried and cant help but feel like maybe i caused this in some way.
anyway, just wanted to share. hopefully this little bedrest stint will help things along and she will get growing!!

has anyone ever heard of this happening? bc here i am in bed, bored to death and i just dont know if this is really necessary. baby is measuring 4 lbs which is normal for 32.5 weeks. of course i am going to follow doctor's orders to the letter, because god forbid what might happen if i didnt, but still i cant help but wonder if my doctor isnt being overly cautious. also, i have my mother's voice in my head about how doctors offices love to bill for stuff and by putting me on bedrest and having me come in for extra sonos and whatnot they can make more money. i would hate to think that about the people caring for me, but it probably wouldnt be the first time doctors did something unethical.

anyway, just venting.

I could have written this word for word!

I dont remember weeks/ weight but the doctor put me on modified bedrest ( I was still able to go to work ) because the baby was measuring "small" and they were concerned about the umbilical cord.

Of course, listen to your doctor BUT just to let you know, DD was born 6 days late at 7lbs and she was perfect.

The other OB in the practice said, some people just have small babies! But, I would rather them be cautious anyway so try to rest and not get worried!
