Undershirts/White Onesies
Ok, probably a dumb question -
When do you use a side-snap undershirt or white onesie and why?
Do you put one on under a sleep and play?
A lot of DD outfits are the colored onesies and soft pants, do you put a white undershirt under one of these?
She is 3 weeks old.

Undershirts/White Onesies
I used the side snap until my DDs UC finally fell off. After that, I didn't use them anymore. I don't really use the white onesies under her sleep and plays. She has some cute little hooded vests and I'll use them under that sometimes, the long sleeve onesies. Otherwise I'm not using the white onesies as much, but if I had to layer her up to keep her warm, I would use them under whatever clothes you put on her.

Undershirts/White Onesies
My DD hates pants so she lives in sleep and plays with short sleeved white onesies underneath. Our house is also in the cooler side regardless of what our thermostat says so she needs more clothes than just the sleep and plays. We never had any side snap shirts. She's 6 wks today; I hope she decides to like pants soon.

Re: Undershirts/White Onesies
well i just had my ds so since its been winter and hes a newborn especially, i put a onesie underneath most of his clothes that i put on- at night and during the day. i bought a few white ones to have extra but then again i also bought colored ones (same price so to me, they are the exact same, even though the white ones look like undershirts) and then of course, i have the ones that came with a set with pants or whatever else.
for the most part, i havent dressed him in onesies with pants because i thought for this time of year and for a newborn it wouldnt be warm enough but if he was older or when its not so cold, i will just put on the onesie and the pants, not another onesie underneath.
i also have a bunch of long sleeve onesies which i havent put on underneath other clothes but i would if it was really cold and going out maybe but normally, i would save these for mild days and just have them with pants (if its not warm enough for the short sleeve ones, all alone)

Re: Undershirts/White Onesies
I never used either, unless it was very cold and we were going for a walk and really needed the extra layer.

Re: Undershirts/White Onesies
I have the side snap ones only in long sleeves (December baby). Used them til belly button stump fell off, now only use them as a layering piece if there's a short sleeved onesie as part of an outfit. Otherwise, I use short sleeved onesies under most stretchies, unless its really warm! I also have long sleeved onesies and have only used them like twice, if its really cold!

Undershirts/White Onesies
I use them occasionally if DD is wearing a regular shirt and pants or a one piece outfit. Like you said, she's usually in a onesie and pants so no need. We never had side snap onesies, DD was born in April and lived in regular onesies as a newborn.

Re: Undershirts/White Onesies
I dont use them under sleep ans plays because they get too hot all swaddled. I use onesies when I go out and its cold. I usualy dont put them under the long sleeve onsies outfirt they wear.

Re: Undershirts/White Onesies
DS is older ( 2 years old)... but i use the white onesies under his short sleeve shirts in the fall and winter. I think the layered look is kind of cute for him- plus it helps me get more "mileage" out of his short sleeve shirts, since he wears them in the fall and winter, too.

I am such a fool I never thought of this! I kept saying to myself what I'm gonna do with all these short sleeve outfits

I use a onesie under DD's clothes every day.
this is what i do/did. Also i put them on at night under her PJs just recently (she is two) i stop putting them under feetie PJ cause i thought she would be two warm if she is waring two pices PJs i always put them on her.
i didnt use the snap shirts for very long cause they always rode up and defeated the reason for me using them
we are starting potty training this weekend so i have to retired the onsies but i did get undershirts for her that i will start to use
