Uncomfortable sleeping at night
Im 12 weeks and already I am having trouble sleeping at night. I'm always tossing & turning & everytime I do, I feel like Im pulling something in my stomach. I feel like I have to sleep "stiff" in order not to pull a muscle or hurt the baby.
Is anyone else having trouble like this?

yes... an it's only gotten worse for me. Sorry. I am 33 weeks now and I DREAD night time. I can't sleep for longer than 3 hours at a time, I get up all the time for water, and I cannot get this big belly to turn from side to side for the life of me.

What's really bad is that sometimes I forget I am pregnant so I try to turn on my belly to go to sleep Talk about uncomfortable!!!
Maybe you should try one of those preggo pillows the ladies talk about? That may help you find a comfortable position. As for me... 8 more weeks to go... and it's not like it will get better after baby gets here!

if i lay on my back I feel the pulling in my stomach so it freaks me out. I am ok still sleeping on my stomach. But if I move during the night sometimes, again, I feel like I am about to pull a muscle in my stomach

Re: Uncomfortable sleeping at night
I sleep sort of sitting up, have been since about 16weeks. Not the greatest, but for me, it'll be over in 9 days ( ) and it's worth it for what you get in the end.

Yes, I'm 32 weeks and have been having trouble sleeping for quite some time. Same as you girls...tossing and turning, getting up to go to the bathroom, needing a bit of water because my throat is so incredibly dry...and being woken up by my aching hips. I guess we've all just got to hang in there!

Re: Uncomfortable sleeping at night
Add me to this club! I have not slept soundly for the last few weeks. I feel like I'm constantly tossing and turning.
I also feel like my bed has gotten smaller!

Re: Uncomfortable sleeping at night
I feel your pain ladies... I have not gotten comfortable in bed since I hit 12 weeks..... I bought the body pillow that helps somewhat and know I also use a regular pillow to give me support against my back in bed... It sort of helps but my poor DH has no room in the bed and I am surrounded by a fort of pillows.. He is a great sport though...

I am feeling the exact same thing. I toss around a few times before getting up in the morning and I feel these weird pulls in my stomach. It makes me nervous. I started using my arms more to get up or move side to side.

Re: Uncomfortable sleeping at night
See i just toss and turn all night and i always tend to wake up when i'm on my back (therefore knowing i shouldn't be). Plus my cat loves to sleep in between my legs and it has been driving me crazy ever since i got pg. I just can't deal with that anymore.
I told my husband last night that i can't wait for a year and a half to go by. That way i should be able to sleep through the night by then!

Re: Uncomfortable sleeping at night
I'm hardly sleeping these last few days, we have a tempurpedic mattress and I still can't sleep... AND next week I have to be in a hotel for the week for work and I can only imagine how uncomfortable a hotel bed will be. Not to mention I know they will have us up early and have sessions going on at night too that we'll be required to go to. Not looking forward to it, I just want it over with... better than doing it when I get back from maternity leave I guess.
I still find sleeping on my right side more comfortable then on the left... I've heard that left is best though... Is this true? Sometimes I have a hard time breathing on my left side and/or my left arm falls asleep.
