uncomfortable at 27 weeks?
Today I started my 27th week and I'm getting pretty uncomfortable already! I'm up 9.5lbs and i am carrying all of the weight in my belly. My sides and lower back are pulling (stretching?) so bad; it doesn't help that I am a nurse and on my feet all day at work. I've been trying to do stretches and putting my feet up when i can, but i can get no relief on my lower sides (if that makes sense). Sometimes during the day when im standing for an exteneded period of time, I feel like my belly weighs 50lbs. Is this normal? Any suggestions for relief? I am nervous because I still have 13 weeks lefts and I already feel this way; i dont remember being this uncomfortable with DS!

Totally normal, unfortunately, and it supposedly gets worse each progressive pregnancy. There are some yoga moves and stretches that are supposed to help, and I've heard great things about seeing a chiro during pregnancy, but I never actually did that.
By 27 weeks I was up around 25 lbs so you're doing amazing! Hopefully if some of it is where the baby is positioned pressing on nerves, the baby will move soon and give you some relief for a little bit! Feel better!

Re: uncomfortable at 27 weeks?
Have you tried a belly support band? It may take some of the pressure off of your back and sides.
Also, whenever my back started to really bother me towards the end, I found it really helpful to just sit on a balance ball - I would just sit and watch tv but it made a BIG difference. It allowed all of the muscles in my back to stretch out and took the pressure off of them.
