Umm... (stupid registry thing...)
So I'm getting the impression that Buy Buy Baby does the same thing Bed Bath & Beyond does as far as putting things on your registry that people buy at the same time as your registry items...
BUT WHO IS BUYING ME YANKEES ONESIES????
I was all excited a week ago when I saw someone got me my Mets onesies... but no one who knows me would EVER buy me yankees gear. This is very, very odd.
My NC license plate even says "METS" on it!

They might have bought something for themselves too? Either someone who is PG or someone who already has a DC. Either that or someone is playing a really sick joke o you. My DH is a Yankee fan, I'm a Mets fan. We're having twins. So we had to agree that 1 DC will be a Mets fan and 1 DC will be a Yankess fan. UGH!

Maybe they don't know too much about baseball and didn't know what the Mets symbol looks like? In the defense of uneducated people, they are both an overlapping NY. My best friend is a die hard Yankee fan and my DH is a die hard Mets fan, and I often have to stop and think a sec to make sure I am looking at the right thing...Maybe it is someone in NC who didn't realize that they symbols are so close??

I thought maybe it was a joke, but they're $28 for 3 onesies, which is OBSCENELY expensive IMO. I know my cousin was going to get me some mets ones since I can't find them in store down here in NC... but this is just confusing to me. I wonder if I'll be able to return them in store even though they'd be from NY.
But maybe you're right... maybe someone just happened to buy them at the same time as they got something else.
That is TOO FUNNY about your twins!!!  Will you put two jerseys on the floor and see who crawls to which first to decide?

They don't actually sell them in the stores down here, or that would be a definite possibility. My husband went to NC State but a lot of his friends went to UNC, so I wouldn't be too surprised if we got some bright blue clothes rather than his red wolfpack gear as a joke... It's so funny to me how much college baby gear is in BBB around here!
Does anyone know if the baseball onesies happen to be on sale in store in NY now since baseball season is over? Maybe someone managed to get a really good deal on them and thought it'd be funny... One of the shirts actually says "Yankees" or "Mets" on it, although the other two with the NY symbols do look really similar.
It's annoying because motherhood maternity down here actually sells a few baseball tshirts... yankees, cubs, braves, I think, only, for some reason.
A tornado just hit ground in Norlina, NC and they're preempting jeopardy for the weather forecast right now. I should be doing dishes but I'm sitting on my butt doing nothing.

LOL yeah I'm no where near Norlina -- that's practically on the VA border. I live near Raleigh. It's just annoying because I really like my Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune time...
It was 80 degrees today but now it's saying it'll only be 65 on Saturday (dropping to 38!) and we have a wedding to go to that's an outdoor ceremony at 4 pm. Blech.
I make DH vacuum because his parents bought us a vacuum as a wedding present. I was not very pleased by this present... so I just make him do all the vacuuming. But those dishes are definitely not doing themselves... echhhh.
That's really funny about the Jeopardy category! I like Wheel better lately -- I find Pat Sajak ridiculously funny. He's on twitter now too and he seriously says crazy funny stuff! I think he'd be a really fun person to hang out with, despite the fact that he's my dad's age. (My dad's also a fun person to hang with...)
Pooh... Wheel of Fortune is being preempted too. I can't believe I've been sitting here watching the weather for a half hour now.

Hmm... I don't know if they're having a glitch, but the good thing about the item showing up on your registry is that if you receive it, BBB shouldn't give you ANY trouble returning it since it shows up on your registry! For whatever that's worth.
So strange. For the most part, I wouldn't mind if people buy me gifts I didn't register for... but yankees onesies is just really out there... same with your bedding... I mean, unless they just got confused, why would you not buy what the mom wants?

For my cousins shower, she got a TON of Mets and Yankees outfits because we are all from NY (so is she originally) but she is a die hard Phillies fan. We did it more as a joke and also so her little one knows that there are better teams out there other than the Phillies

@Lauren - just don't be seen in Philly wearing NY sports gear. It's not good.
I hear DH playing rock band upstairs... I'm going to go watch him for a little bit. My heel is positively KILLING me tonight to the point that I can barely walk. I found an old wrist brace and put it around my ankle and it seems to be helping me at least walk. Guess I have another thing to talk to my doc about on Tuesday at my next appointment...
