umbilical cord stump - still on at over 3 weeks...

umbilical cord stump - still on at over 3 weeks...
with DD#1 her umbilical cord stump fell off within a week or so, with DD#2 it's been a little over 3 weeks now and it's still on...
anyone have the dr. remove it? i have heard this sometimes happens and am wondering after how long they typically do this. we have an appointment scheduled monday, but i'm just curious...this dirty bird needs a BATH!

my nieces umbilical cord fell off at 6 weeks! It was really remarkable - Dr. wasn't too concerned and said it will fall off when its ready...

my dd's fell off at close to 7wks! i was a bit worried until the ped told me that it would fall off when it was ready and sure enough it did that same wk

Johns fell off like 3 days after he came home, Joey was in the NICU and his cord was kept wet in case they had to run a IV into it. His cord didnt fall off until he was about 6 weeks. Just keep cleaning it with the alcohol, it will fall off on its on
