Um, silly question

My pup's new fascination is w/ electrical outlets. I saw him licking the one in the kitchen a couple of times and am, of course, trying to discourage it. Is this something I should be concerned about? It's not the box area, but the outlet part where the holes are to put plugs. If this is a concern, any suggestions to get him to stop?

I never heard of a dog doing this, but I would put the plastic child proof plugs in the outlets so he doesn't get hurt.

I will try to do that when he is not looking. My only concern is that he will start chewing on those since they would be within his reach..

I have never heard of / seen a dog do this either and I have had 3 other dogs.

Go to Home Depot or Babies R Us and see what gadgets they may have for babies. Maybe there's something he won't be able to pull out... What about putting the plastic things in and duct taping them? Then adding like tobasco sauce to the duct tape or Bitter Apple (you get that from the pet store), it may teach him that this is a no-no.

If you put them in well, they are hard to get out, I nearly broke a nail taking one out. I think that would be the best thing.
