ultrascreen...worried
I know it is a sono and a blood test but is the sonogram internal? So the baby actually look like a baby? I am so nervous because I haven't had a sono since 5w5d and am petrified that they are going to tell me something is wrong. In the last week I have heard of 3 people who went for sonograms and there is no heartbeat. If that were the case would I still have all the pregnancy symptoms such as M/S and fatigue? The ultrascreen is not for another 2 weeks and I don't know how I am going to handle the wait. Do you think I am crazy?

Re: ultrascreen...worried
My ultrascreen was both internal and external.
It is totally normal to be nervous - heck, I'm 20 weeks, and I'm still nervous because I haven't been to the doctor in 3 weeks.
As for still feeling pregnancy symptoms if something is wrong - every woman is different. Some still do, some don't.

Please don't worry yourself sick. The fact that you have morning sickness is an excellent indicator that all will be okay. Good luck!

Re: ultrascreen...worried
Mine was external only and the baby looked like a baby! It was awesome!
I understand the worry - it really never ends - but just do your best to focus on the positive aspects of being pg. I remember reading all the stories of things going wrong w/ other women and it really is very hard not to be affected by them ... but try.

Re: ultrascreen...worried
Mine was external. I was a wreck too waiting for the test. In fact, I'm still a wreck when things don't seem right and I'm at 31 weeks. Try to relax and enjoy every minute because it goes quickly!

Re: ultrascreen...worried
Mine was both internal and external. Dont worry yourself over it. Yes, it looked a lot like a baby. Big difference from that one and the one I had at 8 weeks.
But just a warning,,,,,they place I went to (not sure if they are all the same) were NOT allowed to comment on the sonogram. I got totally freaked out and even started to cry thiniking that something was wrong. I called my dr. immediatley and he explained that by law a sono tech is not allowed to read the results. So dont get even more worried if they wont comment on it.
Good luck!!!!!!
