Ultrascreen?

I am 10 weeks now and have an ultrascreen planned in 2 weeks.

What should I expect to see @ 12 weeks? I am picturing counting fingers and toes, but I don't want to set myself up for dissapointment!

Re: Ultrascreen?

congrats! exciting..

if I remember correctly, you can't see defined areas as toes yet..but you should see limbs and the head and facial features..
good luck! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Ultrascreen?

if you look up my posting about the sex of our baby, I had a sono at 15 weeks. We saw the spine running down her back, her brains, both arms and legs moving, a cute buddha belly, her heart beating. We saw her bones in her arms and legs and her front facial showed the dark areas where her eyes are and nose.

Truly amazing!

Re: Ultrascreen?

At 12 weeks we saw the baby's heart beating, arms & legs, and fngers. We even saw the baby sucking its thumb. At my tripple screen last week (13½ weeks), I saw so much more, brain, spinal cord, fingers and toes and a beautiful profile of the face. Ears, nose, eyes, mouth...everything. Its truely amazing!!!!!!

My pic from my Ultrascreen. It was clearer in person but you get the idea (heads on the right)

Re: Ultrascreen?

At just 9 weeks we were able to see the head, body, arm buds and leg buds. We saw the beating heart, spine, and got measurements on the baby, like how much it weighed about.

At 20 weeks we got much more. They did a full anatomy scan, was able to tell the sex (although we didn't find out), saw fingers, toes, got a profile of the face, all of that.

I'll attach my ultrasound pics.
