Uhhh....do you believe in signs?
You might have guessed from my posts in the last few weeks that I am struggling a little with the decision to do IVF. Here is the thing....I want to do it and I'm ready and prepared but things keep happening that mess me up. Right after I decided to do it I had a dream about my grandmother. She asked if I had taken drugs to get my baby and I said no it turned out I didn't have to. It took me 2 weeks to get over that and move forward. Then I called Medco to ask where 3 of my meds were and the woman said it was so weird - the meds I was missing were crossed off the shipping order. She could not explain why. Then I got them yesterday and by accident DH threw out the box with them still inside. Do you believe in signs? Did anyone go through something similar?

Wow, freaky! I'd take it as a sign!! Can you postpone one month at least and TTC on your own?

Re: Uhhh....do you believe in signs?
Sometimes I believe in signs but sometimes I think there are just coincidences.
When DH and I were leaving our apt building to go for my egg transfer, at the same exact time we were walking out of the building, twin boys were walking in. I thought it was a sign since I was transfering 2 embies back in. The cycle was a bust....it wasn't a sign.
In your case, I think you're just really anxious over this decision. Have you thought about seeing a therapist to talk through some of your feelings?

Re: Uhhh....do you believe in signs?
I think believing in signs is a very personal thing. I used to ... Actually, for most of my journey to have a baby I was constantly looking for signs in one way or another...
These days, I believe it's all random and parts are coincidental... but I don't believe anything is a "true" sign. If you believe something is a sign and it works, then you will always believe that was your "sign". If it doesn't work, then you'll chalk it up to randomness and move on to other signs in the universe. I can't tell you just how many signs I thought there were in my journey to become a mother................. but all of them led me to 2 1/2 years of infertility treatments, still with no living children.
If anything, it's all been a sign of some crappy luck- which I believe is about to change very soon. We'll see.

sometimes i believe in signs and sometimes i don't. i guess its just the situation your in.
However for you, my first thought was - were you able to get back the meds that your DH threw away since you already paid for them!!!!!! I hope so!
If you want, try one more cycle and see what happens, maybe it will put your mind at ease and will make you feel more comfortable moving on towards IVF

I think pennycat is right. I know you are having doubts about IVF. At first, it is a lot to take in. But, I was willing to do all I could to have a child. With our MF it was pretty much our only option. You have no reason to feel guilt. If this is what you need to start your family you should not feel any shame. It's a medical condition. Not all of us are lucky enough to get pregnant even if we do everything right. I would always think crackheads are always getting pregnant its not fair! I would consider talking to someone to sort all of these feelings out.
