Uh oh...mommy guilt coming back. Any mommies relate?
So with 9.5 weeks left to go I really need to buckle down and get things done. I've been buying some necessities here and there (for me and baby), rearranging furniture in our room for the bassinet, really considering baby names...and getting SOOOOO excited to have a newborn in the house again! BUT then I start to feel guilty towards DD. Like I shouldn't be excited b/c she has no idea how much her little world is about to change. Is that crazy? I cannot wait to give her a sibling and watch them grow up and play together. AND I already went through all of these emotions in the beginning of my pregnancy, now I just want to be excited but I feel guilty about it.
Hormones??

Ugh - I feel the same way! DS knows that he's getting a baby brother, but I don't think he reallllly knows & I worry about how he's going to feel the first few weeks/months...he's used to being the center of our universe

I have a lot more than 9 weeks but i feel the same way. DD is so excited but she has been our world for the past 3 years and my emotions are all over the place worrying that she will feel resentment towards DC#2 because shes not the center of attention anymore. I think its partially me being scared of having more than 1 child and making sure i devote enough time to both. I think this is normal to feel this way...at least i hope

Yes I cry just thinking about it! I've only got 10 weeks left and I'm sorta freaking out. Dh keeps telling me she will be fine once the new baby gets here but I worry she will feel replaced. The worst part for me is I have to stay 3 nights for the csec and I've never been away from her for more than 4hrs. I rock her to sleep every night and I know I have to break her of it but I can't help but to want to do it forever. I just don't want her to feel like she is 2nd best to be new baby. I don't want her whole life to change and feel chaotic. Ugh I hope it will be ok.

Is it weird I feel this way about my dog, which was my first "child"??
it will be an adjustment foe everyone but soon she will learn all the great things about being part of a growing family! And I think they say your love multiplies with each addition.
