Ugh...eating is a waste of life
when you are sick and cannot taste.
two weeks into this "cold" and I have lost my sense of taste...along with my sense of smell and my will to live.
I can't even cook, for fear of making something bad  you can't season food if you don't know what it tastes like.
oh woe is me woe is me
Good thing champagne bubbles soothe my sore throat.
and...I've lost 3 pounds. the silver lining..

I had a cold for 3 freaking weeks and I JUST got rid of it last week. Drink the calories, trust me--they are good for you.
Champagne will do a much better job than something called mucinex

Oh man! That happened to me last week, I was paranoid that I wouldn't be able to taste all the xmas goodies.
I looked like quite a turd on Saturday when I was washing my hands and realized I could smell the handsoap and squealed like a pig.
It's the little things.....

it was fun...but I think the logistics of ice skating at Rock Center could turn someone into a homicidal maniac.
it was a madhouse in there, especially during the holidays.
but it was a blast skating under the tree...though I forgot to look up at the all people watching us until the very end.
the kiddies enjoyed themselves, so that's all that mattered.

I am such a decadent, self-indulgent reveler in all luxuries of the flesh that I don't really care if I feel better. I just want to taste better....

How is it they have cures for other more life threatening diseases, but science has yet to figure out how to cure the common cold??

I understand...I Woke up this morning feeling sick...and DH has been sick with a cold for a few days now...it was inevitable and of course right before the new year....well Hopefully after a few drinks I will feel better
