ugh! what a day!!!

ok... so my best friend of 20 years ( since we were 7) just had her first baby 2 weeks ago. she lives out in Pa, so i've been dying to get out and see them....
WELL i work at a school and today we had a 2 hour delay, so i figured it would be the perfect day to go out and see her, since i wouldn't miss a full day of school, and i take Rt. 80 all the way, which is a major road so i didn't think it would be bad- they had all last night to plow and stuff. WRONG!!! once i got out towards the poconos, Rt 80 was HORRIBLE!!! it was like a snow field, and i wasn't going more than 5 mph for awhile. and traffic kept stopping because tractor trailors were sliding or whatever... it was bad!! finally, when i realized i still had 30 miles left of that stuff, i decided to just turn around sooo... i wasted one of my days off, and still didn't get to see her and the baby! but, she just called and said they closed Rt 80 now, so i guess its good i came home or i would have been stuck at her house for the night! ugh! time for some wine!!
