Ugh, eBay problems!
So, I sold a pair of my old shoes on eBay. The buyer took 12 days to pay, and that's only after I had to open an unpaid case.
Now, after receiving the item, she request an Item Not As Described return claiming "the shoes squeak and are in terrible condition, much worser than the pictures." Which means I would have to pay for shipping as well.
I am pretty sure it's just buyers remorse, which is why she didn't want to pay for the shoes in the first place, as well as a way to get back to me for having to open a case against her.
What do you think i should do?
I hear the buyer is always right as far as eBay is concerned. Should I email her back stating why I think she did what she did? Should I be super nice and explain that I did send the exact same item I posted and it can't possible be in "worser" condition than the pictures? Or is it all useless?

Tell her you'll accept her return but she's responsible for shipping.

Thank you! That was my initial reaction but the eBay Customer Service rep who I spoke to said that I shouldn't say that because that would be like admitting that yes, the shoes are in worse condition than they look are in pictures...

I always state I don't accept returns but maybe 1-2x someone wasn't satisfied and so I just accepted the return. As long as they pay return shipping you can just relist and sell again!

I would probably try to be nice because you don't want her to leave you negative feedback. I think you're probably right that she just changed her mind about buying the shoes. It sucks because now you have to wait for the shoes to come back and then relist them all over again. Unfortunately there is no way to prove the condition of the shoes and eBay tends to take the side of the customer. If you do decide to accept the return, make sure to tell the buyer that they are responsible for paying the shipping back, and I think you can even say that you will only be able to refund the price of the shoes, not the amount you paid to ship them to her, but I'm not sure about that since she's claiming the shoes were not as advertised. As hard as it is, try to be friendly.

Re: Ugh, eBay problems!
I wouldn't have shipped after waiting 11 days for payment and would have issued the non payment strike prior and then blocked him from bidding in the future.
Now that he says they are not as described you are supposed to pay return shipping and refund in full.
