ugh, DD is not good with company anymore
it was a rough night. it's my mom's birthday so I took DD over there for dinner with the fam. i told my mom i wanted to be home by 9 at the latest to put DD to bed. she didn't even serve dinner until after 7:30! DD was so tired but she couldnt calm herself because there was just too much commotion. just in the last few days she won't really let anyone else hold her but me either. she was getting herself so hysterical too. i gave her a bottle there and she fell asleep so i tried to put her down swaddled in the pack n play but she couldnt get to sleep. then she got all upset again. i had to leave because i needed her to get to bed. it was so stupid too because i didnt even get to eat dinner with everyone because i needed to feed her and then i spent the whole rest of the time in the other room where it was a little quieter trying to settle her down. on top of it all DH has been away since yesterday morning and i really just need him with me :( i'm rambling now but i just needed to vent. i dont want my DD to be one of those babies that won't let anyone else hold her. it's so weird because she was awesome on sunday at her christening party and let everyone hold her. she's only 2 mths old, but it's so frustrating. i want to be able to take her to visit family and for them to enjoy her and for me not to be stressed out every time we go for a visit. thanks for listening

Sorry the night was so crummy  Bedtime is just a bad time for visiting. I'm sure she would have done better if it was earlier in the day. I'll be around in the morning so if you need company before DH gets home give me a call.

That stinks!
Nights were always rough for my son also. He has always had an internal alarm clock that went off at 6pm...and he would turn into a lunatic. That could explain why 6:30 has basically been his bedtime forever!
