Ugh...
OK, so DH is a wonderful man and he pays for both his mom and dad's cell phone bills. (they are divorced and normally the combined bill is less than $80)
We just got the latest bill in the mail and it is for $300.00 
Turns out that FIL went on a cruise and made 80 something minutes worth of calls while in Mexico... at $2.50 per minute for international roaming charges.
Here's why I am mad... this happened once before and I told DH he should tell his dad that when he is out of the country there are per minute charges on the phone. He never said anything. So now it happened again and we are stuck with a $300 cell phone bill. 
He better say something to FIL this time or we may end up having a major misunderstanding.
Would you be annoyed about this or am I just being petty?

Yeah, let's just say that I don't feel as though he should be paying for his parent's cell phones in the first place. I have just never spoken up about it because I know he feels like he should.
The horrible thing about it is that we both work for a cell phone company so we get great deals on the plans and should NEVER see bills this big. I am so mad that this is now something we have to pay for. His dad should have to pay for his international calling. Ugh, I am so annoyed!

your FIL probably has no clue about these charges since your DH never said anything to him the last time. If I were you, I would tell DH if you don't tell him to stop making calls outside the US, I will.

Honestly. If you can afford it... it's so wonderful of you and DH to pay it. I wish my FIL was still alive. I would not only pay his cell phone but I would make him come and live with us. Now if you really can not afford it and this is a real set back then that's a different story. This will come back to you 10 fold just wait. you are probably a blessing to them.
