uber question... follow up question
i've only used uber once, so i'm not too familiar with it.
i'm going to buy an Uber gift card.
when you have an uber gift card, do you add the value to your account (like an amazon card) or do you keep it and use it as a form of payment when you're hailing a ride (like a store card)?

can you set a ride for the future?
i need to have my aunt picked up to go to a family event, but i know i'm going to be crazy busy that day.
can i log on in the morning and set a pickup time for, let's say... 3pm?
or am i limited to do it only when she's ready to be picked up?

uber question... follow up question
yea what NervousNell said
and no you cannot preorder a ride. it has to be done when she is ready. it will give you a list of drivers nearby and how soon they will arrive, then when you choose it gives you the picture of the driver and lic plate.

I’ve scheduled a ride the night before. Where it says ‘Where to?’ on the app, there’s a car with a clock icon next to that... click that and the scheduler should come up for you. Love Uber

I have a business Uber account for work, and with that yes, you can schedule rides in the future. Im not sure if a personal UBER account works the same way, but I feel like it should so check!

oh my goodness!!! you're right. i just attempted it!!
woo hoo. this way, i can tell her to be ready at a given time and set up a pickup at that time. now, i won't have to stop cooking and prepping to make sure she'll be picked up at the appropriate time!!
i'm starting to see why people love uber
