U Pick Apples out East?
Does anybody have any suggestions? My mom wanted to go this afternoon, but I usually go upstate, and she's looking for somewhere out east.

I would call first wherever you decide to go, its really late in the season for apple picking.

I agree. We went to Mail Pail in Water Mill and we had to walk really far down all the rows to get apples. I can't imagine there is much more left except for the apples that weren't matured yet.

Wickham's probably has apples.. they did a staggered UPick release. But they also have some weird new 'membership fee' that you have to pay (20/year) in order to even do the UPick. Not sure it's worth if for me.
The apples they show as being available for this weekend are:jonagold, Mutsu, Empire, Red Del, Ida Red, Winesap, Braeburn

We did Hank's Pumpkintown last weekend & they still had rows of apples closed off that weren't ripe yet. Just get there early. We got there when they opened & it was basically us & about 10 other people; when we left it was a madhouse. It was only $15 a bag too!
