TY card for Xmas bonus?
DH's boss mentioned a few months ago that he was annoyed that nobody sent him a TY card last year after he gave the staff a Chrismas bonus and had a holiday party.
He just gave DH his Christmas bonus.
Should I send a TY card from DH?
I kind of think it's weird to do so bc isn't he giving the staff a bonus to thank them for doing a good job?
Thoughts?

Re: TY card for Xmas bonus?
Wow, I'm surprised he expected actual TY cards ... maybe the partners at my job are more relaxed? In the past when they gave a bonus, I thanked them genuinely right then and there. Not sure if other employees ever sent them cards???
I have sent an email thanks after a company outing or holiday party, but nothing formal per se.

Re: TY card for Xmas bonus?
I thought a bonus was a thank-you for doing a great job all year? If so, do you give a thank-you for a thank-you? When does it stop? Does DH's boss then have to send a thank-you for his employees' thank-yous for the bonus/thank-you?

Re: TY card for Xmas bonus?
If his boss wants a TY card why are you sending it? Shouldn't your DH?
And yeah, as much of a PITA it is (like sending a TY for a TY) I would do it if he had voiced his opinion that he'd prefer it. I don't agree with him about it, but I am not in the business of ruffling feathers either
