To finalize the story line for all the major characters, including Charlie Sheen's, he can be written out and the writers can finalize the rest of the story line and finish the series.

As much as it sucks for the other actors and crew, I'd say jsut end it as is. I don't know how well the show would work without him- but I feel like that's true of his brother and the kid, too.

Exactly! I feel like if you lose one then you lose the whole show. It stinks that it has to end so abruptly but it is what it is.

I agree, just end it.
there is not much there to "wrap up" anyway.
