TurboTax Question
Does the deluxe edition for this year NOT include filing for state? I was about to buy it the other day & I saw it didn't say "deluxe + state" like it used to, so I was reading the box & it seems like we have to pay an extra $20 for every state return we file???!!! Is this something new?? I've used TurboTax for at least the past 10 years, & both fed & state filing were free with the regular purchase price.

There are two versions of deluxe - not sure if they have done this every year, but it's the first time I'm noticing it. One has state (you still have to pay to e-file it) and the other doesn't have the state.

I noticed that too when i went to buy it. The deluxe with state doesn't include e-file. It's bogus to have to spend an additional $19.99 to e-file your state return. I remember when we first starting using turbotax the e-file for state was additional $, but in the recent past it was included.
